A very big Thank You to Linda Webster for her effort and persistance in getting an article in the Ormskirk Advertiser, promoting our style of Goju Ryu Karate-do.

I would also like to thank Mathew & Isla Webster, Josh Briant and Mathew Brookfield for taking the time to demonstrate and give out leaflets in the middle of the busy town centre on Saturday 27th February.

It is really important that we keep our dojo high profile within our community, so I would also like to thank Dawn Nicholson Mia's Mum for taking our leaflets and also some she did herself to a local school, again in an effort to promote our dojo.

Congratulations to Jordan, Michael & Thomas for their success in the E.G.K.A. Junior National Championships.
3 coaches full of contestants and parents with various Sensei's set off for Bournemouth at 9am on Saturday to attend the Junior National Championships, although the trip was a long one, everyone was upbeat and ready for the task ahead.

Thanks must go to All The E.G.K.A Instructors who gave their time to help the juniors get prepared, Sensei Roy, Sensei Paul, Sensei Peter and many others and also Sensei Mike Smith from E.G.K.A. Hooton Dojo for organising the accommodation and coaches.  

Jordan's Results.
Kata: 1st
Team Kata: 1st with Nicholas Bradford and Steven Gould, Childwall and Asagi Dojo's.
Kumite: 3rd.

Michael's Results
Team Kata: 2nd with Thomas James and Josh Clare Ormskirk and Birkenhead Dojo's.

From our perspective the Tournament was a great success as The Northern contingency came away with the most successes and although it was a very long coach trip home everyone was very happy with the day’s events.

E.G.K.A. Junior National Championships.

All participants of the Junior Championships Kata & Kumite have been training hard for this event and will be travelling to Bournemouth on the weekend 17th/18th October.

It only remains to wish our students the best of luck, bring home the honours lads.

Just after 1pm, we have just arrived home after our weekend in the Lake district, 2 miles from Keswick to be exact.
